These tiny titanium implants are used as stabilizing devices for prostheses to replace missing craniofacial parts, i.e. ears, nose, orbits and eyes. These implants are placed with a minor surgical procedure and are connected to a prosthesis made by an artist familiar with these techniques. Dr. Sinn has placed hundreds of these implants for this reconstructive approach in both children and adults. Artists, Greg Gion and Allison Long of Medical Arts Prosthetics work closely with Dr. Sinn to construct these unbelievable results.
